With Riley's 7th Birthday, I knew I had to do something special, since this is his first Birthday without a huge party. Riley has always had a typical store bought Birthday cake, which run about $40, I was really excited to find out that Baskin-Robbins Ice Cream Cakes are only around $25-30!

2 of the new cakes they are offering for August are the:

Too Cute Cupcake Cake - The newest addition to Baskin-Robbins'
lineup of birthday cakes is an oversized cupcake filled with delicious
ice cream and cake that is sure to make any birthday more fabulous.

Clown Cone Party Round Cake - This happy cake is adorned with
Baskin-Robbins' classic Clown Cones and sprinkles around the edge.  Each
Clown Cone can include a scoop of the guest's favorite ice cream
flavor, while the inside is filled with the guest's choice of ice cream
and cake flavors.

I asked Riley which one he wanted and immediately went for the Too Cute Cupcake. He was also super happy to find out it can be customized with cake flavor, ice cream flavor (including OREO
® Nutty Salted Caramel, which is made with vanilla ice cream swirled with a salty caramel ribbon, OREO
® cookie crumbles and honey-glazed peanut pieces) and icing color!

Riley chose a yellow base, with cookies and cream ice cream and chocolate cake.  I love that they were able to write "Happy Birthday Riley" on the bottom to make it personal.

This cake came out to $34.50 with tax, and it serves about 8-10 people. It was such a hit at our family party, everyone wanted to know why we had never had one before, and were so excited thinking about all the flavor combinations!

Just in case you are wondering, it's cake, ice cream, frosting, cake, ice cream, frosting!
