summary: (4/4) He wanted me to go online with him and he wouldn’t take no for an answer

Luke:

Neither of us were sure about announcing our relationship to the 5SOS fam. I’d seen them rip people to shreds in minutes just for being in their presence – most of the fans are fantastic, kind-hearted people but some of them are insane.

So he thought the best way to do it was a twitcam. The boys were in a hotel room, they were bored as shit and the fans were loving it.

“Now we have a special guest to introduce!” Luke giggled, holding his arm out to me excitedly.

I shook my head no – I couldn’t do it.

“Please?” Luke’s face fell. Michael pushed him towards me while Ashton carried on talking.

“Apparently our special guest is a little bit nervous. Don’t worry, Lucas will be back momentarily.”

“Can we talk about all these amazing comments while Luke’s not here?” Calum continued, pointing at the screen.

“Baby, what’s wrong?” Luke asked, taking my hands and squeezing them.

“I can’t do it – they’re not going to like me.”

“Of course they will!”

“No they won’t! I’m a girl and I’m dating you – they’re going to hate me.”

“They won’t – they’ll think you’re cute and funny. They’ll love you as much as I do.” He smiled, kissing my cheek and trying to reassure me that everything was okay.

Then I noticed that the others had stopped talking. They were all looking over at us but the laptop was still pointing at them.

“Everything okay?” Mike asked and Luke looked to me for confirmation.

“Come on in then! There’s a plenty o’ room on this ol’ bed.” Ashton shuffled out of the way melodramatically and Luke pulled me into frame by my hand.

“This is my girlfriend,” Luke introduced me, not letting go of my hand as I blushed furiously. “Say hello.” He giggled.

“Um, hello.”

“She’s a bit nervous, but we know you guys will welcome her to the 5SOS fam. We know you’ll love as much as we all do; as much as I do.” Luke smiled.

Calum:

The band loved doing secret twitcams in their hotel room and seeing how many fans could find them. I usually hide away in the back, ordering room service or putting status’ on Calum’s Facebook while he couldn’t stop me.

He’d tweeted about us about a month ago and I’d been greeted with mixed responses – some people were really sweet while others sent usual hate messages. I never used twitter all that much anyway.

Tonight was another secret twitcam night – they were going to have a pizza party. They opened the twitcam by ordering room service and taking the piss out of each other – a normal twitcam.

Then Ashton burst out laughing. “I just saw a comment that said ‘why doesn’t Calum get naked anymore?’”

Calum pouted. “Because my girlfriend doesn’t approve.”

“If Calum gets naked for your guys he doesn’t get laid.” Michael teased – they looked at me expectantly.

I chuckled. “Are you willing to get naked and risk the consequences?” I asked from off camera.

Calum didn’t get to answer because there was a knock on the door from room service. “Babe, can you get that?” Calum asked.

I nodded, letting the guy in and helping him unload 7 pizzas and my bowl of pasta onto the little desk area I’d been sat at with my computer. Once he’d left I handed the pizzas to the boys with intent to sit quietly and eat my dinner whilst they interacted with their fans but oh no – that would be too peaceful.

I gave Luke his second plate of pizza when Calum grabbed, smiling up at me like a puppy with pizza completely filling his mouth. “People want you to say hi.”

“No Cal, I’m not wearing any make-up,”

“You look beautiful!”

“And you have pizza all round your mouth.” I laughed, using my thumb to wipe the excess tomato from his chin.

“Please?” He pouted at me.

“There’s no room for me on the bed.” I pointed at all the pizza.

“We’ll make room!” Michael threw himself over Luke’s lap.

Calum squeezed my hand. “You’re making excuses.”

“My pasta’s getting cold.”

“You’re disappointing the fans!”

“Sorry!”

I went on a bit later and there were gifs all over tumblr within the hour.

Michael:

Doing Google Livestreams were fun, Michael loved dressing up and playing acoustic sets live on YouTube was so much fun but he was tired. He just wanted to curl up at home and watch a movie, it didn’t help that I was there behind the camera.

Tonight they were dressing up as Disney Princesses and announcing a tour to places they’ve never been before and playing a brand new song. They were excited but Ashton had to keep making sure Michael was concentrating.

“You with us, buddy?”

“My girlfriend’s over there, I wanna snuggle.” He pouted, pointing lazily at me.

“We’ve got a Livestream to do, Michael Gordon! You can snuggle later.” Luke teased while scrolling through the twitter feed on the computer one of the tech team had provided him with.

Michael threw a pillow at Luke’s head.

“Call me ‘Gordon’ again and I will go and get my cuddle and completely ditch you guys.” He threated.

“She could come over here. The 5SOS Fam love Mikey’s girl – she might as well be in the band.” Ashton giggled.

“Apparently people want this.” Luke mused, glancing over at me. “The second Michael said ‘girlfriend’ the whole feed blew up.”

I shook my head enthusiastically. “No, I am not dressed to appear online in front of hundreds of thousands of people.” I argued instantly.

“You look beautiful though.” Mike mumbled, as if completely astounded that I could think differently.

I openly laughed. “I have no make-up, my glasses on, I’m wearing sweat pants and one of your shirts and I am wearing a beanie because my hair looks gross. Beautiful is not the word Michael Gordon.” I teased.

“Isn’t that my beanie?” Calum asked.

“Probably. I’ll give it back when my hair doesn’t look crap.”

“No swearing!” Ashton pointed at me accusingly and I put my hands in the air in surrender.

“How come she’s allowed to call you Gordon?” Luke pouted. Michael’s kind of disappointed expression didn’t falter. “All of these tweets are about you, ‘babe’.” Luke shrugged at me.

So while they were playing the new song, I dressed up all the Disney Princess costumes they’d discarded (beanie still on, glasses discarded behind camera) and I was sat on the sofa when they returned from performing.

Ashton:

Without Ashton, no one would ever know if the band was alive or not. He tweets, he posts Facebook updates, he encourages the boys to write newsletters, he makes Instagram videos and I think he even updates the Google+ page.

So when we were in our hotel room on a day off he decided he wanted to do a twitter Q&A – the hashtag was trending worldwide in minutes and when he crashed the twitcams website, he had to log in to Luke’s YouTube channel and start a webcam google hang out.

He was lying belly down on the bed scrolling through his phone and talking to the computer while I avidly ignored him. I sent him stupid questions on twitter and deliberately looking away when he looked over at me and giggled.

“You’re disgusting! These questions are inappropriate!”

I shrugged, still completely out of shot. “The fans want to know.”

“The fans do not want to know what cup size my pecks are!”

“I’m pretty sure they do.” I raised one eyebrow and that was enough to set him off giggling again.

“Why don’t you come ask the questions? People love it when we do stuff together.” He shuffled along on the bed, anticipating me lying on my belly next to him and asking him questions.

“No way – this is your Livestream. I’ll go get Calum if you want.”

“I want to do it with you though.” He pouted.

“I don’t want to be on camera tonight.”

“Are we having a low self-esteem day?” He asked completely serious because those are days that I have and he likes to say ‘we’ because he wants to help. I nodded.  “Come cuddle and I’ll make you feel better?” He opened one arm out to me and smirked because he knew cuddling means being on camera.

“No, Ash!”

“But you’re beautiful.” He pouted again. He waited for another couple of seconds before looking back at his phone. “I will just refresh my twitter feed and ask myself these questions then.” He mumbled. It wasn’t going to change my mind. “Okay, at malum nudes – spelt with a double O and a z on the end – asks why my grumpy girlfriend won’t come on camera. Well, she didn’t say grumpy, I added that for effect.” He giggled, glancing over at me again. “All of my twitter feed wants you to come say hello. There’s just a bunch of people saying how beautiful you are and how you shouldn’t feel bad about yourself.”

Then he pulled out the puppy dog eyes. I rolled my eyes and flopped on the bed next to him, scrolling through my own twitter feed and glancing over at his. “You guys are too sweet.” I glanced up at his computer, checking I looked alright in the camera.

“You’re sweet.” He grinned, leaning over to kiss my cheek and blushing.

“I’m only here because I love you.”

“I love you more.”
