One of the year’s most anticipated television events finally has an official trailer. If you have been living under a rock, the British drama Broadchurch, starring former Doctor Who actor David Tennant and Olivia Colman, found itself getting an American counterpart with Gracepoint.
Ten-episode mystery event series Gracepoint, which will also feature Tennant as a lead along with Breaking Bad‘s Anna Gunn, has audiences following the tragic death of a young boy, and the major police investigation and nationwide media frenzy that subsequently overtake a picturesque seaside town, where anyone is a suspect. The British version was a hit both on both sides of the pond, paving the way for an Americanized version.
FOX released the official trailer for it on Monday night, which you can check out below:
Broadchurch was everyone’s obsession last summer and from the looks of this trailer, Gracepoint could very well have the same effect on audiences. Gracepoint has been slated to air Thursday nights on FOX at 9pm, according to the recently released FOX Primetime schedule.
As a fan of the British version, the only thing missing to make this as epic as that is one Arthur Darvill.
