(4UMF NEWS ) Three Dead In Jewish Community Center Shooting:

A man suspected of shooting dead at least three people at two separate Jewish centers in Kansas City screamed out ‘Heil Hilter’ as he was arrested this afternoon.

Overland Park city spokesman Sean Reilly says two people died at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City campus and one was killed at Village Shalom, which is a retirement community that is several blocks away from the center.

Overland Park Fire Department spokesman Jason Rhodes said Sunday afternoon that one person of interest is in custody.

The Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City in Overland Park posted on its Facebook page that a “shooting incident” happened near its White Theater entrance and the building is on lockdown.

Overland Park Medical Center spokeswoman Christine Hamele says a 15-year-old boy who was brought from the scene of the Jewish Community Center is in critical condition.

There is a heavy police presence at the campus, which spans several acres in an affluent area of Johnson County, Kan. The entrance to the campus is blocked off.

The second shooting was reported at Village Shalom, which is an assisted living center at 5500 West 123rd St.

The screaming suspect was taken into custody at the Valley View Park Elementary School, which is a mile away from Village Shalom footage was aired on KSHB.

KCTV5′s Bonyen Lee says the suspect appeared to yell ‘Heil Hitler‘ as he was being led away in handcuffs by Overland Park police.

One person was reported killed in the parking lot of the Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City.

Authorities have confirmed a second person is undergoing emergency surgery at Overland Park Regional Medical Center.

Phyllis Cantor, who is undergoing rehabilitation at Village Shalom, said she heard the sound of sirens.

Police have confirmed that they have one person in custody following the shootings.

He was apprehended at Valley Park Elementary in Leawood.

A reporter with NBC affiliate KSHB said that one of their photographers spoke on scene with a man who says another man pointed a gun at him and shot the windows out of his car.

That person was not injured.

Witness Mike Metcalf recalled the frightening scene at the Jewish Community Center.

‘My son and I were walking into the Jewish Community Center this afternoon for an umpire clinic, around the westside and all of the sudden we heard a gunshot, a pretty loud gunshot,’ said Metcalf.

‘I turned to look to my right and I can see a man standing outside a car with a shotgun, what to me looked like a shotgun, and there was somebody laying on the ground.’

Metcalf said he yelled at his son to run as fast as he could.
