In addition to ‘Cinderella’ at the Baxter Theatre, The Lilliput Children’s Theatre Company will also be performing one of their most popular shows, ‘The Elves And The Shoemaker’, at the Nassau Theatre in Newlands, during the school holidays. The production will run from Monday to Saturday, December 12 to 17, at 10.30am daily at the venue on the grounds of Groote Schuur High School on Palmyra Road in Newlands.

This “magical fairytale” takes place in Cape Town were a Shoemaker lives with his wife. They are very poor and are worried that they will not be able to sell any shoes. Two young elves pay them a visit and make it the best time they have ever had. Watch as the elves turn pieces of leather into beautiful shoes and join the shoemaker and his wife for their birthday party.

‘The Elves and the Shoemaker’ remains one of the world’s best loved fairytales and is adapted and directed by Elton John Duffy. This production stars Desle McConney, Liande Valentyn, Andrew Lightley, Kyle Seconna and Monique Rockman.
