For those who love Atlanta’s shopping, dining, and nightlife but want to live in the suburbs, Movoto Real Estate, has examined 56 Atlanta suburbs to determine the top ten. They collected data for amenities per capita, standard of living (cost of living, median home price, median rent, median household income, and high school graduation rate), total crimes per 100,000, unemployment rate, and average commute time. The categories were ranked and the scores were averaged. Credit was also given for Movoto agent picks. Here are the results:



#1 – ALPHARETTA

Potential buyers have the choice of new construction single family homes and condos with convenient shopping at North Point Mall, walking trails and swimming at Wills Park, dozens of local restaurants, and extremely desirable schools.

#2 – ROSWELL

Roswell offers new construction condos and single-family homes as well as mid-century and historic homes. It has upscale local restaurants and numerous parks and trails in Old Mill Park and the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area. Historic Downtown Roswell is pedestrian-friendly for dining and shopping and offers local live music events and the farmers’ market.
