Named
after Allman’s classic 1973 solo debut, the inaugural Laid Back
Festival was held last summer at Wantagh, NY’s Nikon at Jones Beach
Theater, presented in partnership by Allman, longtime manager Michael
Lehman, and Live Nation. Now
boasting an expanded itinerary, the 2016 Laid Back Festival will once
again feature an eclectic range of artists performing on two distinctive
stages, the main “Laid Back” stage and more intimate “Low Country”
stage. The latter - which takes its name from Allman’s 2011 solo
masterpiece, “LOW COUNTRY BLUES” - will serve as a special showcase for rising local artists and musicians from every region on the festival tour’s itinerary.
Much more than just a concert, the Laid Back Festival will also
celebrate America’s diverse and delicious food and drink, with more than
20 regional restaurants, food trucks, breweries, wineries, and other
artisans represented at each festival stop.

Tickets for the 2016 Laid Back Festival are on sale now. An array of unique VIP packages are also on offer. For complete details and ticket information, please visit www.laidbackfestival.com.

2015’s premiere Laid Back Festival proved an indisputable success, with New
Jersey’s Asbury Park Press declaring it “a crowd-pleasing blend of
classic rock along with food and spirits.” The event - which saw
timeless performances from Allman, The Doobie Brothers, Bruce Hornsby
and The Noisemakers, Jaimoe’s Jasssz Band, and more - was hailed as a
crucial new milestone on the increasingly busy summer concert schedule. “Laid Back filled a void left by the Allman Brothers Band,” wrote Relix, “who played Jones Beach most summers from their late-career comeback through 2013.”

Gregg
Allman has also slated a wide range of headline dates throughout the
summer, as well as top billed appearances at a number of major music
festivals. Highlights include a pair of May dates supported by Anders
Osborne, a series of July double bills with Peter Frampton, a September
co-headline date with ZZ Top, and eagerly awaited sets at Live Oak, FL’s
Wanee Music Festival (April 14th-16), Floyd, VA’s Floyd Fest (Saturday, July 30th), and The Peach Music Festival at Scranton, PA’s Montage Mountain (August 11th-14th).
The latter event will see two unique performances from Allman, first
with his own Gregg Allman Band followed by a once-in-a-lifetime
collaboration with The String Cheese Incident as “The Gregg Allman
Incident.” A complete itinerary is below. For updates and ticket

About GREGG ALLMAN:
Gregg
Allman is truly among rock and roll’s greatest and most influential
artists, his soul-fired and still utterly distinctive voice one of the
defining sounds in all of American music. From his founding role in the
one and only Allman Brothers Band to his long and storied solo career,
Allman has consistently proven himself to be an iconic singer/songwriter
and exceptional practitioner of the American blues tradition, both
aspects masterfully represented on 2011’s GRAMMY® Award-nominated solo
landmark, “LOW COUNTRY BLUES.” Allman has accrued a remarkable list of
honors over his five decade career, including the ABB’s 1995 induction
into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and 2012 Lifetime Achievement Award
at the 54th Annual GRAMMY® Awards. Allman detailed his brilliant career in 2012’s acclaimed memoir, My Cross To Bear. Now available in both hardcover and paperback, the New York Times
best seller chronicles a truly astonishing life and creative journey,
all informed by the wisdom and hindsight of Allman today, the survivor
of unimaginable loss, alcohol and drug addictions as well as a
successful 2010 liver transplant. Allman quickly followed the Allman
Brothers Band’s 2014 final concert run with the 2015 release of “BACK TO
MACON GA,” a live two disc CD/DVD set capturing Allman and his
eight-member band blowing the roof off Macon, GA’s venerable Grand Opera
House with a set comprising dynamic blues covers, solo classics like
“Queen of Hearts” and “I’m No Angel,” and of course, such ABB favorites
as “Melissa,” “Midnight
Rider,” and “Whipping Post.” Allman is currently completing work on a
new solo album, tentatively slated for release later this year. For
