One of Tanna's work-related holiday parties happened to be on the same night as the kids' school program. So we attended the program ready to go straight to the party, and Halmoni took the kids home from school after the program. What a fun night!

The party was downtown at the new National Center for Civil and Human Rights, which just opened this year. We arrived just in time to view an exhibit featuring of some of Martin Luther King Jr.'s personal papers and other items. (It was only open for a portion of the evening.) It was very interesting and reminded us of a similar exhibit we were fortunate to see at the Atlanta History Center a while back.

We then grabbed a bite to eat (the food was great) and a seat just in time for the evening's program, which included a word from the hospital's new CEO as well as a meaningful video testimony from a patient. The patient and her husband were also in attendance at the party, and we enjoyed talking to them after the program.

The main speaker was Brian Gregory, men's basketball coach for Georgia Tech, who was very personable and motivating. We enjoyed meeting him.

It was a busy evening, but we had a fun night--love being downtown and enjoying the holiday decorations.
