On 28th, FCA US reported on it’s attendance at this year’s 21st annual “Mudfest” hosted by the Northwest Automotive Press Association or NWAPA. FCA’s yearly competition 2015 Jeep® Renegade, 2015 Jeep Cherokee, 2015 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel, and 2015 Ram Power Wagon all competed and won awards in their corresponding class categories. According to Nik Miles, president of NWAPA, “This annual competition sets the bar for outdoor activity vehicle buyers in not only the Northwest, but the entire country. The journalists push vehicles to their limits; this competition is not for the meek and faint of heart. FCA came to the table ready for a tough fight and they played rough and tough, driving away with a trunk full of trophies.”
The 2015 Ram Power Wagon took home top honors in the competition’s Extreme Capability Class thanks to it’s many features designed for off-road application. Some of the Power Wagon’s most notable capability-minded options include:
A best-in-class towing rating of 30,000 lbs.
A best-in-class Gross Combined Weight Rating (GCWR) of 37,600 lbs.
A unique suspension with more than two inches of lift.
A 12,000-pound winch.
