Over the past few years Ford has been teasing the world with images of what could possibly be the next Ford Bronco.  These strategically placed tidbits of information have created quite a ruckus with many truck and off road enthusiasts who obviously have missed the two doored Ford.  Do to the success of these “concepts” the automaker has released information claiming that are looking at bring the Bronco and Ranger pack into its line up by 2020.

Unfortunately the people at Ford haven’t been too open about what the future will hold for the Bronco, or Ranger.  People want to know what direction the company will take with the Bronco.  Will it be an off road wonder capable of knocking the Jeep Wrangler from its thrown or will it just be another run of the mill SUV?  Even though it doesn’t look like Ford will be ponying up any specific information on the Bronco in the near future a few fans have taken it upon themselves to come up with several renderings of what the automaker’s new off roader should look like.

It doesn’t matter if you favor the the small boxy original from the 1960’s or the version that OJ made his escape run in because both of these vehicles have found their way into the images made by the dreamers at Bronco6G.com.  This group of talented Bronco lovers got together and came up with what they wanted the new vehicle to look like and to be honest it looks like they struck a nerve.

“For our Bronco concept, we fused styling elements from previous Bronco generations, the 2004 Bronco concept, and modern Ford trucks and SUVs,” Bronco6G.com administrator Tom told Road & Track in an email. “You can see the classic round headlights and square inset front grille evolved from the 1st-gen Bronco, which was also showcased in the retro-futuristic 2004 Bronco concept.”

There’s no denying that Bronco and off road fans all over the world have fallen hard for Bronco6G.com’s renderings but there’s no telling what Ford actually has in store for the Bronco.  Many are dying to know if the upcoming off roader will been EcoBoost powered or if it will incorporate some form of hybrid setup.  There’s also the question of the Bronco’s driveline capabilities.  What axles will Ford use and will lockers come standard?  All of these things are just as important as what the two doored vehicle will look like.

There’s no doubt at all that the world will more than likely be waiting for a long time before Ford opens up about the details surrounding the Bronco.  Thankfully 2020 isn’t all that way away and real world concepts usually pop up a couple of years ahead of the release date.  Hopefully Ford does the Bronco justice and keeps it ‘Ford Tough’ and doesn’t turn it into an over glorified mall crawler.
