The Hip Humanitarian is a newer subscription box that offers products to “fashion your lifestyle for social good”. The monthly box can include items for your wardrobe, beauty products, home goods, accessories, and more.

There are 3 different lifestyle options to choose from upon signing up: The Minimalist, The Hollywood, or The Free Spirit. Boxes will contain most of the same items no matter which one you choose, but in different variations (color, scent, etc.). Subscriptions are $36/month with free shipping, or less with 3- or 6-month commitments.

I was sent December’s Minimalist box to review, aka “The Cozy Box”.

Let’s see what was inside!

Everything was sent in a plain white box with a Hip Humanitarian sticker on the front.

First look. I was most definitely looking forward to “snuggling up to some serious good”.

Second first look.

The info card listed everything inside the box, along with the retail values for full sizes.

There was also a little card included that gave you ideas for how to make the most of all the items included. Cute idea!

Prosperity Candle in “Unwind” ($12) – Prosperity Candles are hand-poured by women artisans looking to build a better life for their families. This particular candle was handmade by “Htoo” from Burma. I wasn’t able to find this scent on their site, but it definitely has a light, calming feel to it. Floral with a touch of lavender maybe?

Grace & Lace Boot Cuffs ($22) – I remember seeing this company on Shark Tank and thinking their products were super cute. I love the look of socks/legwarmers peeking out of my boots so I was excited to find these in the box. Not only do they make fun accessories, but they also donate a portion of their sales to help build orphanages in India. Nice!

Medicine Mama’s Apothecary Bee Magic ($2.00?) – A little sample pot of organic healing skin cream. This contains all natural ingredients including honey, olive oil, bee pollen, and beeswax. It can be used as a facial moisturizer, for sunburn relief, to repair dry heels, and more.

Organic Coffee Co. Hazelnut Flavored Coffee ($2.00) – Mmmm! I love flavored coffee… especially hazelnut. This is made by a family owned company who uses fair trade coffee beans and real hazelnut flavor. Yum!

Teysha Key Chain & Gift Card (Bonus Items!) (Keychain: $20, Gift Card: $30) – This keychain is made by artisans in Guatemala using leather and colorful textiles. The gift card is good for $30 off any custom boot order on Teysha’s site.

I thought this was a great box with useful products, almost all of which fit the “cozy” theme perfectly. Snuggly boot cuffs, a scented candle, and organic coffee? Can’t get much cozier than that! The overall value was great too — about $58 (not including the gift card). Nice!
