FEATURES
Fortunately this technology is no longer just for the tarmac arena. Which is where the 2014 Swift Carbon Detritovore 29er bike comes into the picture with construction and design features that were taken from their Ultravox road model. Everything applies here with an agile, lightweight, race-stiff but all-day-comfortable mountain bike. The new D-Vore was also designed around the 29″ wheel platform to make it freakishly-fast on the track. The geometry is also designed around a 100mm fork, and completed with your choice of either SRAM XO, or Shimano’s XTR system to equip the rides adequately. Fox handles the fork details with a Float 32, Kashima coat, and CTD remote compression damping adjuster.
After the debut last season, the D-Vore was well received by the press: “Seriously good. A rider’s bike that blends race-ready speed with all-day comfort,”. That frame was brought over into this season, with features like box-section tubing, and a mixture of T800, T1000 and MR40 composite fibers, a simple but stiff PF30 BB shell, along with interchangeable rear dropouts for standard QR axles or the X12 thru-axle version.
