The former immediate Chairman of Kano State Independent Electoral Commission, KANSIEC, Sani Lawal Malumfashi, has defended the position of Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso that the emergence of Senator Saraki as Senate President is synonymous to political truculent that will hold the country at standstill for years to come.

He said Saraki’s political ego is now clearly at variance with the collective consciousness of the nation and that those cynics supporting him should understand that people are watching and the power of the people will eventually prevail even if it means recalling those involved.

In an exclusive interview with LEADERSHIP in Kano, Malumfashi, a university don maintained that the whole idea for the formation of APC was to emancipate the country from the present stage of socio-economic and political abyss and in ensuring PDP has no influence in running the affairs of the country.

“For APC to succeed, it must have a dominant say in the two houses of Senate and House of Representatives, simply because it requires a like- minded people who have similarities of foresight, commonalities of vision and shared understanding about the true situation of the country and how to rescue the country from where it was to where it wants to be”, he highlighted.

According to him, the present political romance between PDP and Senator Saraki is a marriage of compatible partners against the progressives of APC, and cautioned that people didn’t vote for APC to support a sort of political rebellion against the progressive spirit of the party.
