It’s Saturday morning, your kids are still sleeping but the fun mom in you is ready to party and surprise your kids, what is a mom supposed to do? O.K. maybe your home isn’t exactly like that come Saturday morning, you are actually wishing your kids would sleep in just one more hour or even one minute, you have along to do list for the weekend. Your kids on the other hand are begging for some fun. Why not create a Morning Party. A simple and fun way to kick off the weekend.
What are Morning Parties? A simple way to connect as a family party style. That’s right everything becomes fun when you say it’s a party. (These morning parties can be celebrated any day of the week)
How to create a Morning Party?
Step #1 - Set the table with special dishes or use left over party supplies, blow up a few balloons add your own party creativity. You could even choose a theme around your child’s favorite toys, characters or upcoming holiday.
Step #2 - Plan a menu using one of our Party menu ideas below or create your own according to your kids likes.
Step #3- Plan a fun activity to go along with your party. This could be as simple as watching a movie together, playing a board game, heading outdoors for a bike ride or playing a game around the table. This step will depend on how much time you have to party.
Step #4- Announce to your kids either the night prior or when the wake -up that we are having a Family Morning Party. If you are super creative you could make invites leave them by their beds or a big sign as they exit their rooms etc.
Step #5 – Clean-up and begin thinking about your next Morning Party. Will you make this a monthly, weekly or yearly tradition.

Idea #1 – Pancake Fun:
Get out the toppings and make your favorite pancake recipe or use on of our below ideas including a few pancake game ideas
Yummy Pizzazzy Pancakes – For extra flavor stir in cooked bacon bits, cooked crumbled sausage, chocolate chips or fruit such as Bananas or blueberries.
Animal Fun – To make animal pancakes: Form simple animal designs on griddle. Pour batter for round pancake; with a spoon, add small amounts of batter for ears, feet, tail, etc. Some easy designs are: Rabbit–round body; smaller amounts for head, 2 long ears and a little round tail. Turtle–round body; small amounts for 4 feet, the head and tail. Cat–round body; smaller amounts for 2 ears and 4 feet; use raisins for eyes and mouth.

Learning Fun – make as many words from the word “pancake” as possible. Whoever comes up with the most gets to eat or make the first pancake. (Note: There are at least 17: pa, pan, pane, pack, pace, pea, peak, pen, can, cake, cane, cap, nap, nape, neck, ace, ape)
Name FUN – To spell out names our words with pancakes: pour 1/2 cup batter into plastic squeeze bottle with narrow opening to use for making letters. Squeeze batter from bottle or drizzle from spoon onto hot oiled griddle to form letters. Cook pancakes until edges are dry. Turn; cook other sides until golden brown.

Idea # 2 - BIG Breakfast Fun:
Serve one BIG breakfast cake for the entire family to dive into and eat a slice of. Create this enormous cake by layering pancakes and adding the following in between each layer: eggs, bacon, hash browns , strawberries and whip cream. Don’t forget the butter and syrup. Of course feel free to add in your own fillers as well.

Cinnamon Toast Crunch +Snickerdoodle Pancakes with Warm Vanilla Sauce
Ingredients
Warm Vanilla Sauce
3 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 1/4 cups half-and-half
1 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
Pancakes
2 cups Original Bisquick® mix
1/4 cup sugar
1 cup milk
2 eggs
2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
Instructions
1 In 1 1/2-quart saucepan, mix 3 tablespoons sugar and the cornstarch. Stir in half-and-half and butter until smooth. Heat to boiling over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil about 2 minutes, or until slightly thickened. Stir in vanilla. Keep warm.
2 Heat griddle or skillet over medium heat or to 375°F. Grease griddle with oil if necessary.
3 In medium bowl, stir Pancake ingredients with spoon until well blended. For each pancake, pour slightly less than 1/4 cup batter onto hot griddle. Cook until edges are dry; turn and cook until golden. Serve with warm sauce.

Chocolate Hazelnut and Banana Crepe

Ingredients
1 cup all-purpose flour, (spooned and leveled)
1 tablespoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon coarse salt
1 1/2 cups whole milk
4 large eggs
3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
Filling
2 tablespoons chocolate-hazelnut spread, such as Nutella
1/2 banana, thinly sliced
Directions
In a blender, combine flour, sugar, salt, milk, eggs, and butter.
Puree until mixture is smooth and bubbles form on top, about 30 seconds. Let batter sit at least 15 minutes at room temperature (or refrigerate in an airtight container, up to 1 day; whisk before using).
Heat a 12-inch nonstick skillet over medium. Lightly coat with butter. Add 1/3 cup batter and swirl to completely cover bottom of skillet. Cook until underside of crepe is golden brown, 2 to 3 minutes.
Loosen edge of crepe with a rubber spatula, then with your fingertips, quickly flip. Cook 1 minute more. Slide crepe out of skillet and repeat with remaining batter. (Coat pan with butter as needed.)5. After flipping a crepe in the skillet, top with chocolate-hazelnut spread and banana. Cook until spread melts, about 1 minute. Fold into quarters.
Chocolate Chip Scones

Ingredients
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/3 cup white sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
5 tablespoons unsalted butter, chilled and cubed
1/2 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips
3 tablespoons orange juice
Directions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Spray a baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. With a pastry blender or a large fork, cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in the chocolate chips. Mix in the orange juice to form a dough.
Turn out the dough on a floured surface. Pat or roll into a 9 inch circle about 1/2 inch thick. With a 2 1/2 inch fluted biscuit cutter, cut out 12 scones, pushing the dough scraps together for the last few, if necessary. Transfer the scones to the baking sheet.
Bake in preheated oven until golden brown, about 12 minutes. Move to wire racks to cool.
Chocolate Waffles

* 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
* 1/2 cup granulated sugar
* 1 tablespoon baking powder
* 3/4 teaspoon salt
* 1 cup (6 ounces) NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels
* 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter or margarine
* 1 1/2 cups milk
* 3 large eggs, lightly beaten
* 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
* Toppings: whipped cream, chocolate shavings, sifted powdered sugar, fresh fruit, ice cream
Directions
COMBINE flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in large bowl.
MICROWAVE morsels and butter in medium, uncovered, microwave-safe bowl on HIGH (100%) power for 1 minute; STIR. The morsels may retain some of their original shape. If necessary, microwave at additional 10- to 15-second intervals, stirring just until melted. Cool to room temperature. Stir in milk, eggs and vanilla extract. Add chocolate mixture to flour mixture; stir (batter will be thick).
COOK in Belgian waffle maker* according to manufacturer’s directions. Serve warm with your choice of toppings.
* Can also be cooked in standard waffle maker (makes about 20 standard-size waffle squares).
Simple Chocolate Dipped Strawberries

16 ounces milk chocolate chips and brand
2 tablespoons shortening
1 container fresh strawberries with leaves
Box of tooth picks
Directions
Insert toothpicks into the tops of the strawberries.
Pour chocolate chips into microwaveable dish – I use 1/2 a bag at a time.
Place bowl in microwave for 30 seconds at a time on high. stirring each 30 seconds until melted ( be careful to NOT over cook)
Dip strawberries into melted chocolate covering all sides of it.
Turn the strawberries upside down and insert the toothpick into styrofoam for the chocolate to cool or place on a sheet of wax paper.
Chcolate Brunch French Toast

Ingredients
1 cup NESTLÉ NESQUIK Refrigerated Ready-to-Drink Chocolate Milk
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons butter or margarine
8 slices white or French bread
Powdered sugar (optional)
Sweetened whipped cream (optional)
Grated chocolate (optional)
Fresh raspberries (optional)
Directions
WHISK together Nesquik and eggs in medium bowl.
MELT butter in large, nonstick skillet over medium heat. Dip bread into Nesquik mixture to coat evenly. Cook bread on each side for about 3 minutes or until cooked through. Dust with powdered sugar. Garnish with whipped cream, chocolate and raspberries
