Senior QA/QC Engineer (Oil & Gas Offshore MNC)
Job purpose:

To provide support and supervision to project QA/QC operations, managing subcontractors, manage & coordinate QC surveillance Inspectors at the various Linepipe manufacturing mills, conduct project audits, site visits, ensure timely issue of project deliverables, Non-conformance control and reporting. Supervision of QC personnel offshore on-board installation vessel, Offshore project quality audits. Compilation and handover of final deliverables

Typical Background and Experience required:

Must have:

At least Bachelor Degree or Master’s Degree in engineering discipline, preferably in Marine, Mechanical, Offshore Engineering

Minimum  10  year  experience  in  EPCI  projects,  with  at  least  6 years experience in Offshore Pipelay Installation projects.

Certification: QMS Lead Auditor (ISO 9001:2008), AWS-CWI or CSWIP 3.1

Thorough  knowledge  of  the  offshore  oil  and  gas  industry,  especially related to offshore pipelines, technical aspects and quality requirements.

Offshore experience on-board the vessel for offshore pipelay construction projects.

Good understanding of rigid pipelay operations.

Computer: Fully proficient in all M.S. applications (excel, word, power point).

Good cooperation, coordination and communication skills, friendly and practical and cooperative character.

Language, Skill - Level: English / comprehension - excellent, written  good, verbal  good

Nice to have:

Level 2-certification in NDT, coating (Preferred)

Main accountabilities:

Assist to Develop and maintain the Project Quality Management System to cover both Project Management and Product processing and verification.

Assist in Development of Field Quality Management System documents (FQP, FQCP, ITP, Procedures and Record Formats).

Review Corporate and Project Quality requirements (Contract, PQP, etc.) and those requirements are captured in Field Quality Management System documents (FQP, FQCP, ITP, Procedures and Record Formats).

Coordinate and communicate with Project staff to promote awareness of project quality structure, requirements, benefits and potential consequences.

Audit, assess, verify and report the degree of compliance to project quality requirements by project departments and suppliers.

Prepare Audit Working Files in preparation for Audits, drive closure of audit findings, record status of follow up actions and objective evidence to support closure.

Ensure Field Quality Improvement Requisitions and Non-conformances are registered, confined and given sufficient focus to ensure timely closure.

Support investigation of quality deficiencies or failures in project operations, undertake root cause analysis, ensure quality issues are appropriately contained and mitigated; where appropriate prepare Quality Alerts for major quality incidents.

Maintain Action Tracking Registers and prepare status reports to cover quality issues.

Ensure implementation and maintenance of the project continual improvement process, ensure risks related to quality are identified and that mitigation plans are established and managed.

Review and approve Subcontractor, Supplier project deliverables. Liaise with client for Improvement comments and expedite document approval.

Assist in the hiring, mobilisation, coordination and demobilisation of QC resources, ensuring coverage of all field activities, this includes both training and mentoring QA principles and requirements, supporting QC surveillance programs.

Collect, organise and assemble quality related data for input to quality sections of project reports and meetings.

PURPOSE
