Tomorrowland was released on BLU-ray and DVD October 13, 2015. My Husband and I saw it in theaters when it first came out and really enjoyed it. I love to watch science fiction movies that involve time travel plus I am a fan of George Clooney.

“Dreamers Wanted…Disney invites you to an incredible world of epic imagination where anything is possible.  Buckle your seat belt, as the director of The Incredibles takes your family on an action-packed thrill ride.

Join former boy genius Frank (George Clooney), optimistic, science-minded teen Casey (Britt Robertson), mysterious Athena (Raffey Cassidy) and the brilliant David Nix (Hugh Laurie) in a world of pure Disney imagination.  Tomorrowland transports you on an inspiring and magical journey of wonder and adventure to a place where if you can dream it, you can do it.”

Right away you tell this movie is special. The opening Disney scene are the buildings from Tomorrowland. The movie starts with Frank telling a story of his visit to the World Fair in 1964.

He went to the fair to win $50 with his invention of a jet pack.  Unfortunately his jet pack only goes horizontally and because it does not work he does not win. Frank catches the eye of of a young girl Athena.

She gives him a special pin and tells him to follow her. He ends up up in Tomorrowland. Frank is not scared because he is just mesmerized by what is happening. He even meets a pretty cool robot that fixes his jet pack.

Next we are introduced to Casey. Casey is a very smart teen, who gets in trouble trying to save her Dad’s job at NASA. After she is arrested, she finds a pin in her belongings. Once she touches the pin, she in sent into a time where anything is possible.

While exploring Tomorrowland, Casey notices there is a timer on back of the pin. Just when things get exciting, the timer goes to zero and Casey ends up back in the present in a lagoon. The adventure starts for Casey when she starts searching for more information about the pin. It turns out to be much more than she expected.

Watch the trailer below:

My family really enjoyed the movie. I liked that we were able to see how the Tomorrowland pin affected both Frank and Casey before the adventure starts. Casey is who Frank was before he became a recluse. She believes that even the smallest action can change the future and she has convince Frank to not give up.  The movie has some nice unexpected twists that even my 15 year old enjoyed. Usually movies that have time travel can be get pretty confusing but this was not a problem in Tomorrowland.

The Tomorrowland Blu-ray Combo is full of bonus features which makes watching it at home a little more special.
