Today, I’d like to introduce you to another fabulous exhibitor present at the 2012 GBK’s MTV Movie Awards Gift Lounge: The Artisan Group, an elite art promotion group with over 700 members from all over the world. The Artisan Group makes it possible for extremely talented artists to gift their work to celebrities and members of the Press at fabulous events like GBK’s MTV Movie Awards Gift Lounge! The products they had on display were fascinating – all handmade, all unique, all exquisitely made, perfect for any occasion! We featured some of them on our sister site, Craftsyble, right before the event.

You can find The Artisan Group at www.TheArtisanGroup.org, on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.

Featured below are the gifts we received in our gift bag from The Artisan Group.

JuditB Jewelry

I have to say, I was amazed and intrigued by the original, modern and edgy jewelry gifted by JuditB! A collection like no other! Her style is almost architectural with geometric shapes, sharp angles and unexpected combinations of materials (like the necklace and oversized earrings made up of a mesh tube filled with crystal cubes in gold, silver and copper in this image).

The jewelry collections created by Judit are bold, unique and will always make a statement. One of her signature pieces, the square ring, is now one of my favorites – classic and modern at the same time, it will never go out of style!

Esscentual Alchemy

Another gift I received was from Amanda Feeley of Esscentual Alchemy: a couple of natural perfumes. I am a fragrance lover so this was such a treat!

Esscentual Alchemy’s natural perfumes are handmade from scratch in small batches. Amanda’s background in music inspires her to create beautiful and complex fragrances or “music for your nose”, like she says.

My favorite of the two perfumes is Bennacht, a mild fragrance with white floral notes.

Palm Beach Parties

Founded by Carla Thomas, Palm Beach Parties offers fabulous party stationery designs. Their collections include thank you notes, personalized invitations, party circles, party labels, favor tags, drink wraps and even décor! They also carry exclusive lines of monogrammed or personalized note cards. These cards, with matching envelopes, bring a fresh approach to correspondence.

Who says the handwritten note is a thing of the past? Stationery sets make a great gift for a friend, a neighbor, or a special treat for yourself! Palm Beach Parties designs can be printed from a home computer or ordered directly.

My gift includes a beautiful set of flat correspondence cards in a modern design, printed onto smooth white card stock. All cards are designed, cut, scored and packaged by Carla! Time to show off my handwriting!

To see the entire line of Palm Beach Parties stationery, please visit their website at palmbeachparties.org ; you can also find them on Facebook ( facebook.com/PalmBeachParties) and Twitter @PalmBchParties.

Kathryn Designs

Kathryn Designs is all about one-of a kind, handcrafted jewelry in polymer clay and resin, featuring a creative mix of modern and vintage design elements. Her jewelry is handcrafted in a few stages, using innovative techniques and the end result is astonishing!

In my gift bag, I received a fabulous artisan necklace called “Cherished Heart” – the pendant features a circle in beautiful shades of blue with aqua green undertones and glittery silver accents embracing a pearly white heart in the middle. The pendant has an elegant, almost whimsical black design. This beautiful piece of jewelry will surely wow anyone! But, you know how they say: a picture is worth a thousand words so I included the picture!

Beezkneez Designs

Founded in 2008 by Valerie Guerrero, The BeezKneez is a popular online paper goods shoppe specializing in trendy invitations, announcements, stationery and other customizable gifts including, amongst others, iPhone and iPad cases.

With just a few clicks, customers are able to personalize the beautiful designs to create their own designer products.

My gift from The BeezKneez is a lovely set of designer notecards, including Born to Rock in red, Funky Zebra Print in chocolate/pink, Rock Star in lime, Grunge DJ in aqua, and Skater Boy in orange. Time to dust off my fountain pen and use these gorgeous notecards!

Jewels for Hope

Jewels for Hope was founded in 2009 by Sandy D’Andrea; she was later joined by her daughter, Stevie. The mother-daughter team believes in giving back therefore portions of the profits are donated to several charities, close to their heart. Most of their gorgeous pieces are color-coded to different organizations. The bracelet I received in my gift bag is a beautiful dark red (almost burgundy) bracelet created to help “Hope for Caregivers”.

Sandy and Stevie love to work with the best materials such as Swarovski Crystals, Swarovski Pearls, and one-of-a-kind vintage pendants. Their handmade jewelry covers a lot of styles from the classic look of Audrey Hepburn, the sassy feel of Betsey Johnson to the bohemian flair of Janice Joplin!

You can find Jewels for Hope and their collections on their website at  www.jewelsforhope.net . You can also join them on Facebook (facebook.com/Jewels4Hope) and Twitter @jewelsforhopect.

GeekGirly Photography

The talented artist behind Geekgirly Photography is Sarah Mercer. She captures innovative contexts and juxtapositions in every day objects and the “urban jungle” where she pursues much of her work. In contrast, her portraiture captures not only a moment in time but also a personality, evoking emotion through context, positioning and the use of negative space.

The gift I received from GeekyGirly Photography is a set of beautiful fine art note cards in a “crows” theme; the note cards are printed on art watercolor paper and packaged in an elegant black handmade box. The cards were also accompanied by a set of stickers made with similar images as the cards, a perfect way of sealing the envelopes of the note cards.

To see Sarah’s unique photographs, please visit her website at www.geekgirly.ca ; you can also join Geekgirly Photography on Facebook (facebook.com/GeekgirlyPhotography) and Twitter @geekgirly.
