We are just weeks away from the 21st TCT Show + Personalize and that means plenty of industry firsts and UK debuts alongside a world-class conference line-up. Here's just a snapshot of some of the highlights you can expect to see on the show floor on 28-29th September at NEC, Birmingham. If you still haven't registered, you can do so for FREE here.
HP (Stand E48)
Following the launch of its Jet Fusion 3D Printing technology in May, the computer tech giant is bringing its machines to TCT Show for the first time. HP’s Jet Fusion has been one of the most hyped and talked about product launches in recent years, promising competitive speeds and costs-per-part with voxel-level production quality. With the biggest booth on the show floor, this is the first time the entire 3D solution including the Jet Fusion 3200 3D printer and Processing Station will be on display to visitors in the UK – be one of the first to see it in action.
Stratasys (Stand E14)
Making its debut at TCT will be Stratasys' recently launched J750 3D Printer, the world’s only full colour, multi-material 3D printer. Its unique 3D printing capabilities enable users to combine full colour gradients with an unprecedented range of materials to achieve the most realistic parts in the industry, without post-processing. Showcasing the power of FDM within production, Stratasys’ Fortus 3D Printer will also be running live on the stand with a wide selection of real-engineering thermoplastics. Visitors will be able to see The University of Warwick’s 3D printed submarine, which features significant FDM production parts. The university saved almost £3000 during its development and reduced the production schedule by 90%. Stratasys will also exhibit the world’s largest, fastest, and most complex 3D printed UAV.
RP Support (Stand C18)
RP Support is to launch its new professional stereolithography system designed, developed and manufactured by RPS engineers in the UK. The first stereolithography system in the range is the NEOS 800, an open system, offering a large 800 x 800 mm manufacturing platform. The NEOS 800 has already been proven in a manufacturing environment, producing highly accurate, detailed parts of outstanding quality. The new NEOS 800 system will be on show publicly for the first time at TCT Show along with a range of sample parts and RPS invites visitors to stop by and celebrate the launch of this new machine with them.
Trumpf (Stand H17)
German laser manufacturer, TRUMPF is set to exhibit its new compact TruPrint 1000 metal additive manufacturing machine for the first time in the UK at TCT Show. Designed for the production of small, complex components, this smaller laser metal fusion system is described as a true plug-and-play machine that's easy to install, requiring only 240V of power and an inert gas connection. In line with TRUMPF's previous LMF system, the TruPrint 1000 builds components layer by layer from a wide range of fine metal powders including steel, aluminium and titanium using a build space of 100 mm x 100 mm.
Carbon (Stand C22)
Another debut for the UK, Silicon Valley company, Carbon is bringing its M1 machine to the showfloor for the first time. Carbon has fast become one of the hottest names in the industry after it unveiled its speedy CLIP (Continuous Liquid Interface Production) technology at a TED Talk in 2015, later unveiling its sleek M1 technology at the Additive Manufacturing Users Group Conference in April this year. Along with impressive speeds, Carbon boasts a strong material line-up featuring five classes of high-impact resins and a unique subscriptions based leasing system. Photocentric (Stand C34)
At last year’s TCT Show, UK-based liquid photopolymer manufacturer Photocentric launched its debut LCD resin 3D printer and shortly after at CES 2016 introduced a smaller version of the technology for less than $500. This year, Photocentric will bring two new machines, the Liquid Crystal (LC) Pro, a large format resin printer with a 20” LCD screen and 45x28x30cm build platform, and the Liquid Crystal 10” Hi-Res, designed for the jewellery industry. The LC Pro is available to pre-order at £2990 and will begin shipping after TCT Show. Also on display will be a range of smaller, affordable LCD printers and resins for both daylight and UV curing.
Admatec (Stand J31)
Ceramics 3D printing company, Admatec, is set to release its first printer, the ADMAFLEX 130 at TCT Show. Bringing together more than 20 years of ceramic experience, Admatec’s ADMADFLEX 2.0 industrial ceramic printing technology has undergone more than 5,000 hours of production testing since prior to its launch. This patented technology allows users to print with stable and easy-to-clean materials including zirconiumoxide, aluminiumoxide and fused silica. Excess material can also be recycled and re-used through its re-conditioning system, limiting waste and saving on material costs. Applications in the medical, dental, jewellery and even micro reactors have already been suggested by the company, which claims this machine is the most cost effective solution in its class available on the market today.
Added Scientific (Stand G25)
A spinout based at the University of Nottingham, Added Scientific is uniquely placed to offer bespoke technical and business services to businesses looking to develop their Additive Manufacturing capability. Drawing upon a wealth of knowledge, experience and technical know-how, they’re helping people to maximise the potential of AM & 3D printing. At TCT Show, Added Scientific will showcase a new piece of software called FLatt Pack, which confers the ability to embed lattice structures into component STL files, specifically, triply periodic minimal surface lattices. The software is currently in development but the team are seeking testers and interest from businesses in being part of its development.
IonCore (Stand C44)
IonCore will launch to the professional market its new 3D desktop printer, the Zinter Pro II. This new machine boasts a huge 300 x 300 x 300 mm print bed, one of the largest beds in its class. Features include; IR Auto Bed Levelling Compensation, remote wireless printing and a locking mechanism to ensure that the print area and filament bay are only opened by authorised users. Additional features include an active cooling system, which improves overhangs and bridging by giving users complete control of temperature management on a per layer basis. Finally, a unique filter assembly, ensures that almost all of the air within the machine is passed through a filter before entering the environment, keeping odours at bay.
Haydale Composite Solutions (H39)
Haydale Composite Solutions (HCS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Haydale Graphene Industries PLC (HGI), Filamentprint (UK) Ltd and Fullerex Ltd will launch Graphene enhanced PLA filaments for 3D printing at TCT Show. The filaments, available in 1.75mm and 2.85 mm diameters offer excellent first layer adhesion and z axis strength retention, faster processing, improved strength and performance, excellent surface finish and improved dimensional accuracy. The materials are compatible with a broad range of printers and have already been trialled by several 3D printing companies who have reported back with positive reviews.
