On Sunday, Marine Le Pen, leader of France’s National Front, said in an interview with der Spiegel that Europe bears responsibility for what’s happening in the Ukraine. She said that she supported the idea of a loosely-federalised Ukraine, and accused the EU of “pouring fuel on the fire” by offering partnership to a country where half of the population looks eastward. Le Pen remarked that Europe shows Russia in a bad light to please the USA, but instead of taking cues from Washington, Europe should form its own opinion. She said that the Americans are seeking to expand their sphere of influence globally, especially in Europe, guided by their own interests, “not ours”. Le Pen praised President V V Putin for “not allowing other countries to impose decisions on him” and for defending the “interests of Russia and Russians”. On 25 May, Le Pen-led National Front, a fierce critic of the EU, won the majority of votes in the French election to the European Parliament, outdoing both the conservative Union for a Popular Movement and the ruling Socialists. In her interview with Spiegel, Le Pen called the EU an “anti-democratic monster”.

A coalition is coalescing in Europe… it’s a “Red/White” coalition… it’s a spectre haunting the nightmares of the Brussels Eurocrats. Communists and nationalists find common cause in a new Popular Front… America’s threat to the world is waking people up. It’s quite possible… don’t forget… the USA, UK, and USSR teamed up to take down Hitler. Ergo, leftist and rightist Europeans could combine to take down Washington, as that’s a common threat and foe, and the fountainhead of an evil ideology. It’s not a dream…

On Saturday, a opolchenie source told ITAR-TASS that the junta “National Guard” (sic) resumed massive shelling of towns near Slavyansk, saying, “Civil Defence alarm sirens are on in the city. We heard small-arms fire in Semyonovka and Krasny Liman, near the motorway to Kharkov”. The shelling of Semyonovka from Karachun Hill resumed on Friday evening. The source said, “Intensive fire from mortars and howitzers lasted several hours; however, reports of casualties and destroyed buildings in this settlement aren’t yet available, as no one can enter the area under shellfire”. Stella Khorosheva, spokesman for Slavyansk People’s Mayor Vyacheslav Ponomaryov said that the city centre also came under fire overnight on Saturday, with shells hitting a fodder-producing plant. The opolchenie source noted that the shelling damaged two houses in Revolution and Lenin Streets near the SBU building, saying, “Pieces of broken glass wounded several people”. However, opolchenie in Kramatorsk, ten kilometres (@6 2/3 miles) from Slavyansk, denied several media reports that battles were underway in the city, stating, “We heard sporadic gunshots, but in general, all is calm in the city”. Reports of intensive clashes around the Donetsk airport remain unconfirmed. A source said, “As far as we know, there are no active combat actions in this district now”.

Aleksandr Borodai, Chairman of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DNR) Government, said in an interview with RIA-Novosti, “We don’t rule out engaging in talks with Kiev. As for the autonomy, I doubt it very much. That was possible before, but it’s impossible now. No matter what compromises the DNR and LNR [Lugansk People's Republic] might be prepared to consider, I doubt it very much that they’d choose to remain part of the Ukraine. We’re ready to offer Poroshenko normal good-neighbour relations, but no immediate compromises. We’d discuss compromises when official negotiations begin, in which, I hope, the Russian Federation would also take part. So far, we’ve not attempted to contact Kiev about talks. I don’t know where that information came from. No DNR official has attempted to engage in any talks. Official negotiations with Kiev can only be possible after the full withdrawal of troops loyal to Kiev, or, to be more precise, to [Dnepropetrovsk Governor] Kolomoisky”.

RIA-Novosti reported that 38 refugees from Slavyansk, including 22 children, forced by Ukrainian border guards to cross the Ukrainian-Russian border on foot, reached the Crimea after travelling through Rostov Oblast and Krasnodar Krai. Rostov Oblast officials met them on the Russian side of the border and accommodated them at the Donetsky Hotel. The local authorities provided two buses that took the children to the seaside resort of Yevpatoria.

This tells you much about the American Establishment, doesn’t it? They don’t care that Galician hillbillies abused kids… they got theirs, and that’s all that matters. Reflect well on that… that’s the result of Slobberin’ Ronnie and Feckless Bill, of PATCO and NAFTA. Bill was the last Bubbacrat… he wasn’t a traditional Democrat… that is, he was a Dixiecrat semi-Republican, not a real New Dealer (just as Chilly Hilly’s a neocon worse than any of the Republicans are). That’s the story of the last 33 years in America… that’s why America supports a Mafioso thug like P A Poroshenko (who’s pals with such luminaries as the mobster Viktor Balogh). America abets those who bully kids… that says much about it (and of those who praise the present Me First ideology and its effects)… I gotta walk away from this one…

ITAR-TASS reported, quoting DNR Co-Chairman Leonid Baranov’s spokesman that the DNR swapped one junta activist for three DNR opolchenie fighters. The source said, “We swapped three of our guys, who they seized and took  to Kiev”. One of the three released men told reporters that they threw him into Kiev’s Lukyanovsky Prison.

Editor:

That is, the junta treats captured opolchenie as common criminals. That’ll only stiffen the resolve of the patriots. Compromise is D – E – A – D. However, did you expect otherwise? Turchinov aided the Bushies in their torture programme… Yatsenyuk was Darlin’ Yuliya’s bagman… Poroshenko was a common criminal running guns, dealing drugs, and running strings of whores… they’re just living up to their true natures.

I wonder whom the junta got in return? Three for one? Hmm… that smells like something that could embarrass them… was it another merc, I wonder?

On Sunday, opolchenie HQ in Slavyansk told Interfax that junta forces forbid civilians to leave the city, a junta roadblock blocks access to cars and buses with civilians. Junta irregulars force them back into the city. The source said, “Only isolated people succeed in breaking through. However, weather conditions have suspended military operations in Slavyansk. Last night, Vostochny, Mazany Yar, Andreyevka, and Semyonovka, as well as the Slavyansk railway station, came under fire. Media reports that the ‘National Guard’ (sic) neutralised the Nona ordnance system are wrong. The media reported it for the third time. The installation is still operational”.

Editor:

Note well that the criminal junta forbids non-combatants to leave a battle zone. They’re evil and beyond the pale. What does that tell us about Nuland, McCain, Zbig, Rubio, Chilly Hilly, and all the K Street slimeocracy (like George Weigel)? If like calls unto like…

On Sunday, Interfax reported that Lieutenant General Wang Guanzhong, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the People’s Liberation Army, at a meeting with Russian Deputy Defence Minister Anatoly Antonov at the 13th International Conference on Security in Asia supported the Russian stance on the Ukraine. A Minoborony media release said, “Whilst discussing topical international security problems, we paid special attention to the situation in the Ukraine. The head of the Chinese delegation expressed support for the Russian position, voicing serious concern about the developments in the Southeastern Ukraine, emphasising how important it was to stop Kiev’s punitive operation against civilians”.

On Sunday, according to ITAR-TASS, the DNR media office said, “During an attempt to take away the bodies of opolchenie [killed in the battle for the airport], the enemy fired at an ambulance and opolchenie fighters, killing six people. We’re going to the International Committee of the Red Cross with a request to help remove the bodies from the territory next to the airport”.

Editor:

The Galician hillbillies refuse to abide by the rules of war. Then, again, they did the same in World War I and in the VOV. Ask the Poles in Volynia.

Interfax reported that Semyon Semyonchenko, commander of the “Donbass” Battalion {a junta irregular unit with a nasty reputation of abuse: editor} said that Right Sector units are obstructing junta efforts. When asked to comment on the situation in the southeast, he said, “In fact, the Right Sector hasn’t been involved in the fighting. However, it spent two months looting, attacking citizens, and engaging in extortion. They only deal with civilians, or with scared police. They won’t face a real enemy. The Right Sector in the east is in cahoots with local crime bosses who finance them. They re-shape the local illegal drug market, cooperating with local bandits; they collect metal at dump sites and raid gambling halls in the interests of competitors. What they do has nothing to do with fighting”. Semyonchenko was in Kiev trying to recruit replacements for his irregulars.

Editor:

This had its historical parallel… Theodor Eicke, one of the most vicious SS officers, hated the Dirlewanger Brigade and its methods (his own methods, like those of Semyonchenko, were rather dubious, but not as direly evil as the objects of their contempt). Like the Right Sector, it specialised in brutalising the helpless. Is the junta getting ready for a Night of the Long Knives against the Right Sector? Only time will tell us.

Note well that this comes from a pro-junta source.
