Feedreader cannot start because of software consistency

Windows XP SP3, FR 3.13, IE7 fully patched and Firefox 3.0.3 (default browser)

All was working well but since yesterday (and maybe a silent windows update) when launching FR (whether with desktop shortcut or regular start/programme link) I have the following message :
Application cannot start (18). internal gds software consistency check (can't continue after bugcheck)

Tried to re-install FR 3.13 but still have the error message.

Anyone having the same problem ? Any solution ?

Feedreader directory also contains FeedReader Backup Utility (
feedreaderbackup.exe), leave only Fix possible database errors checked and press start.

This error happens when FR is not properly closed.

it took some time to fix it but it is now working normally (or it seems...)
