right click - "open article in new window" doesn't open a new browser - steals existing browser window that is open

Running Feedreader 3.13 (also experienced in 3.12)
IE 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp2_gdr.090227-2254
Windows XP SP 2, all current hotfixes

both the above feature and even the menu /HELP/Homepage dont open a new browser window they take focus of an exsitng open browser window.

This is a minor annonyance but causes some issues when i'm logged into a corporate application and steals the browser window.

Have you seen this before?
Any thoughts of fixing it?
