Responses to 3.10

I just wanted to congratulate you on Feedreader 3.10. I've been using it for a couple of days and it works extremely well. For now at least, I've switched from GreatNews. And it beats Particls as well...

I was able to move my 450 plus feeds over to Feedreader without any problems.

GreatNews does a good job. But Feedreader goes a few steps further. I very much like the look: clear and stylish. And the functionality - particularly nested folders, global search, good keyboard shortcuts.

I don't use the newsbar - but I like the idea. It works quietly, isn't obtrusive (see Particls). Same with notification.

The new ratings function is excellent. I added around 100 "noise" words. I've been flagging anything which looks interesting. By sorting by rating, I can cut through to what's sure to interest me.

1. Bugs in 3.10:
1.1. I also see the resizing problem with columns.
1.2. Columns don't stick between sessions.

2. (Pretty obvious) Suggestions:
2.1. Smartfeeds: adding particular feeds is time consuming, should be able to tick folders to include/exclude feeds from any new smartfeed
2.2. Keyboard shortcut for flagging items
2.3. Tagging: I'd like to be able to choose from just my own set of tags
2.4. Drop down list of tags available when pressing t
2.5. Add notes to items: let these be searchable, listed in the column's view
2.6. Save searches in drop down list: for temporary use during a session
2.7. Option to turn searches into smart feeds
2.8. Add particular smart feeds to toolbar
2.9. In full view, be able to see ratings
2.10. In full view, be able to sort by time, rating etc
2.11. Customisable colours based on ratings
2.12. Customisable font sizes based on ratings
2.13. A proper newspaper view: in full layout, two-column view, headlines in right column with lower rated items in a side column with smaller fonts
2.14. Set ratings using wider criteria: eg how long article looked at, whether opened in external browser, whether tagged
2.15. Tags: customizable rating weights
2.16. A forum

Thanks again for Feedreader.
